In this lecture, Dr. Ramirez explains the systematic approach to lung transplantation. He explains how the waitlist works. Common questions are answers including the cirteria for posible candidates and the requirements for those patients added to the waitlist.

Assistant Professor of Medicine

Dr. Allan Ramirez serves as the Medcial Director for the Lung Transplant Program at the UNiversity of Louisville. This program is a joint program between the University of Louisville and Jewish Hospital. Dr. Ramirez also specializes in Cystic Fibrosis. He serves at the program director for the Univerity of Louisville Cystic Fibrosis program. Some of his areas of interest include Fibroproliferative Tissue Remodeling Response in Fibrotic Lung Diseases, Lung Transplantation and Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine.
